Founded on the idea that food should be natural, healthy and delicious, Tables @ Nitida is a remarkable eatery, redefined to service people who adore food and care about their environment.

Bright and early on a sunny autumn day, my family and I headed out to Durbanville to visit the Tables @ Nitida Restaurant, which we had heard so many great things about.

On arrival we opted to dine outdoors at one of the picnic tables under the lovely shaded umbrellas to enjoy our much anticipated Nitida Picnic. (Bookings for picnics need to be made in advance)

Hubby and I enjoyed a Nitida Goodie Box (serves 2 adults), filled with the most amazing surprises, including a meze selection, cheese selection, meat selection and a sweet treat.

The meze selection consists of the finest homemade tapas, 3 Mediterranean dips, preserves, oven roasted tomatoes, Danish feta and Hillcrest olives, seasonal fruit, a fresh and crisp garden salad with a delicious balsamic dressing, freshly baked ciabatta and the chef's choice wrap of the day to share.

The cheese selection features a variety of 4 scrumptious cheeses along with savoury biscuits and the meat selection includes a great range of perfectly cured meats.

The sweet treat was absolutely heavenly and ended off our picnic wonderfully. We devoured every last bite of this delicious tart featuring a delightful and subtle lemon flavour.

My little one indulged in the Kiddies Picnic Parcel, which consisted of a freshly prepared ham and cheese ciabatta (chicken and cheese option also available), seasonal fruit, a fresh juice and a little sweet treat.

The little munchkin had a blast on the kiddies jungle gym situated just a stone's throw away from where we were seated, so Mom and Dad could keep an eye on her while sipping on some of Nitida's exquisite Sauvignon Blanc.

The classic and elegant Nitida Sauvignon Blanc has a beautiful fruity core with delicious flavours of apricots, litchi, granadilla and lime, which complimented our picnic meal perfectly.

Our time at Nitida was nothing short of amazing, the goodie boxes were stacked full of goodness and really is great value for money. The estate is perfectly positioned offering the most amazing views and is the ideal spot for a fun day out with the family.
