Ulundi Restaurant is situated in the iconic Royal Hotel, in the heart of the buzzing city of Durban, the restaurant was opened in November 2012, by owner and chef Aubrey Gounden.

Aubrey's passion in life has always been to cook and entertain people. His lifelong dream has been to one day own his own restaurant. Opening the Ulundi restaurant has really been a dream come true for him.
Ulundi Restaurant has become one of Durban's most popular restaurant as it caters for everyone's needs. It really does tick all the boxes. It is a glamorous but unpretentious venue.

When visiting the Ulundi restaurant you can be rest assured that you will be in good hands at all times. Mr Gounden takes time from the kitchen and gives his customers personal attention, suggesting different specialities and taking note of any special dietary needs. The staff are well trained and extremely friendly, management also pays the customers a visit every now and then to monitor things, and make sure that the kitchen staff and waiters are on the ball.
The atmosphere created in the restaurant is very much family orientated. There is a dance floor fully equipped with relevant lighting, if you're in the mood for a good dance.

Ulundi also serves as the perfect venue for any function. Mr Gounden enjoys catering for functions as he adds his own personal touch to each event.
Savour the taste of home-made food in a fine dining restaurant. The menu is extensive from grills and curry to seafood. Mr Gounden makes it his duty to use only the finest quality ingredients, as this is of utmost importance to him.

Patrons receive excellent value for money, as the meals are delicious and easy on the pocket.
Karaoke is also very popular, and the entire family can get involved.
