Chris Black took ownership of the Aubergine in 2003 after it was opened by his brother Jason two years earlier. At the age of 25, he wanted to create an environment of superb food, relaxed surroundings, warm hospitality and outstanding value, serving modern, imaginative food with warm, friendly service and a superb wine list.

Consistently busy, the restaurant he envisioned has grown into a warm, soulful business that is very much involved in providing a great dining experience for it's guests as well as returning as much as possible to it's community.

The food was out of this world!
The owner spent time at each table and really made us feel special. We were offered a glass of 130 year old port as well as a bit of history to where the port came from -- just an amazing night out."
