Restaurant description

Bean Bag Bahia, the sister restaurant to the Bean Bag Bohemia has now opened in Umdloti. Spilling over onto the beach, this Restaurant and Deli with its fresh contemporary interior, is a haven for tourists and locals alike. Inside, the Botanical wallpaper, crisp white chairs and cool cement floor creates a cool hide-away from the hot Umdloti sun. Outside on the terrace guests can enjoy panoramic views of the beach and tidal pool.

The food is always fresh and healthy to boot. The South American and modern Portuguese inspired menu offers something for everyone. Enjoy one of the various cocktails on offer with Spoonfuls of Tapas like the Figs with Parma Ham or the Spring Asparagus and Salmon. Flavours can be mixed and shared as starters. Here a burger is not just a burger! Their meat is sourced from Midland farms, so the patties are made of 100% AAA grade beef with toppings like Chorizo sausage with lentil dressing rocket, tomato relish and mayo. In fact, all their products are sourced from the highest quality suppliers and are available in the deli section.

The Main Course section offers treasures like the Norwegian Salmon, seared with lemon grass and cumin and served with Brazilian crab coconut and pea risotto and the Lamb Shank Crepenette, cooked in tomato, red wine and of course ? chef's love. This is served with a mint lime tzatziki and soft polenta. To end your meal in this paradise setting, try Bean Bag Bahia's Caramel Chiffon with the unusual accompaniments of Dissarono laced syrup and pumpkin and pistachio ice cream.
