Restaurant description

Since 1994, the Elephant & I has served the Zululand community with a passion for food and coffee, a passion for people, a passion for service and a passion for excellence. Over the years, many wonderful relationshipd have been formed and the owners and staff are extremely grateful for the loyal support of the special E&I customers.

The E&I story began in September 1994, when Tony & Tulla Roussot established an oustanding coffee shop experience for the community, prioritising service excellence and the best quality and value-for-money food & coffee. John Roussot took over the reigns from his parents in November 2004.

In March 2008 Willem & Ren� de Waal joined the E&I team as business partners, and have added their own touches to the E&I offering. At the end of November 2010 John and his family decided to move from Richards Bay. It was a big step in a new direction, and left the E&I in the capable hands of Willem & Ren�. Today, the culture of excellence and the passion to serve prevails as it has for the previous two decades. We believe that excellence is the gradual result of always striving to be better, and we encourage feedback that helps us to grow.
