Restaurant description

The highly successful Adega Group which is renowned for its Portuguese/Seafood specialities has now expanded to the Cape with the opening of its first store in the northern suburbs. Adega Willowbridge is an upmarket Portuguese Restaurant, superbly positioned with its own dedicated parking area situated in the Willowbridge Mall Tygervalley.

This restaurant boasts a warm unpretentious ambience and friendly speedy service, with the large main restaurant and bar area complimenting the versatile seating. Upstairs you will find the smoking area and another bar section. The interior is decorated in sunny yellow, with the Monks theme represented in the traditional blue and white Portuguese tiles which have become the trademark of the Adega Group. Whilst outside, there is sufficient and comfy seating under umbrellas should you wish to have your meal outside enjoying the outdoors.

You will find the same high standards of quality and food presentation (as well as offering a superb selection of Portuguese specialties) for which the Adegas are renowned. The enticing menu offers all the favourite Portuguese specialties such as the Falklands calamari, marinated in the "Adega's spices of gold" grilled in lemon butter, served with chips or rice. Or the Chouri�o flamb�ed in fire water to further enhance the flavour of this very traditional Portuguese sausage. Oysters are another firm favourite on the starter menu and are very reasonably priced.

Other main course recommendations are the Prawns (cooked with great care to ensure succulent perfection) and for meat lovers there are specialities like Lamb Shank and T-Bone Steak. Don?t overlook the Sushi Menu if you are a fan of this cuisine as the freshly prepared sushi platters not only look enticing but taste great too! An array of mouth-watering desserts are also on offer like the Molotov, a charming Portuguese dessert made from egg white and caramelized sugar, topped with Portuguese custard, or , the Monks Kisses consisting of Four Portuguese kisses, chocolate or caramel flavours served with vanilla ice-cream.
