Few could hope to orchestrate a better landscape than that which manifests through the massive bay windows of The Lighthouse Restaurant. Sitting majestically in front of diners, Table Mountain provides the focal point to the light and airy ambience and the unfussy blue and white décor of the renowned eatery which specialises in excellent food, superb wines, and attentive service.

Mouth-watering Cape cuisine, including seafood straight from the ocean, is prepared by the Blue Peter?s master chef. Excellent and varied dishes serve to tantalise the taste buds and engage the senses, and are perfectly complemented by a selection of fine wines that have made Blue Peter Hotel a winner of the Prestigious Diners Club International Wine List Awards.

The buffet breakfast consists of a continental spread ranging from pastries to fruit to cold meats. For those with more of an appetite our cooked breakfast will definitely fill the gap (and then some). Comprising a full English breakfast and a variety of trimmings, you'll probably be coming back for seconds. There is an assortment of Twinings tea to choose from, as well as good quality coffee.

The Lower Deck Bistro, situated in the front of the hotel, offers a more casual environment. Wooden tables, white umbrellas and rolling green lawns provide the perfect setting in which to wile away long, lazy summer afternoons or balmy evenings.

As the sun languidly sets over the Atlantic Ocean, the chef conjures up a selection of legendary and mouth-wateringly delicious pizzas in his wood-burning oven to complement the 8 popular local beers "on tap". And with the live music on Friday nights, what better way to start the weekend?

The Lighthouse Bar is a charming, light and airy venue. Visitors can enjoy casual banter over a pint, share in the cameraderie over one of the many broadcast sports games, or head outside to enjoy the extraordinary sight of ocean, beach, open skies and of course, the Mother of all mountains.

Blue Peter Hotel is well-known for its Sunday Lunches.
