Brad?s Grill is a local steakhouse with a great following and is one of Harfield Villages most loved restaurants, Brad?s Grill, marks its 35th anniversary this year. The restaurant has mastered the formula to success with offerings of excellent food and service being its main criteria. It is also renowned for having the best steak in Cape Town and has won several awards. The service is warm and caring, led by Brad himself, usually on hand to look after you in a charming mein host fashion. The steakhouse menu is traditional and comes in monstrous portions, quality is excellent and desserts are definitely worth having. He also serves all kinds of delicious seafood for the fish lovers. There is an early bird special in by 6 and out by 8 and you get plates of deep fried calamari, chicken schnitzel or sirloin with chips or baked potato and vegetables, all priced for great value. Brad has an unpretentious, eclectic wine list of locally selected wines that complement the menu. This is real comfort food, set in a very convivial space, and its outgoing popularity makes it a real neighbourhood gem.The restaurant is situated on 2nd avenue along the main strip of popular restaurants and shops in Harfield Village, Claremont. It has coffee ? coloured walls with rose pink paintwork, colourful blackboard promoting various wines or specials, wooden tables and linen napkins. It has a very relaxed atmosphere, and full of locals as well as some of South Africa?s famous sport stars, as Brad is a huge fan of South African Rugby and Cricket, and the teams often celebrate at Brad?s after a match.

We were greeted warmly, advised aptly and then treated to true gastronomic delight of chocolate - chilli and mustard steaks respectively. The high quality and freshness of all ingredients was immediately apparent. The desert menu was more than adequate and it would have been sinful to round the meal off with more than a tart fruit sorbet.
