Crown Restaurant & Wine Bar is situated on the picturesque Meerendal Wine Estate in Durbanville just 20 kilometres from Cape Town, one of the oldest wine estates in South Africa dating back to 1702.

Crown Restaurant is stylish, trendy and beautifully decorated and has spectacular views overlooking the
Boland mountains and local vineyards. The restaurant is truly a countryside haven just minutes away from the buzz of the cosmopolitan city life of Cape Town.

This owner-run establishment is renowned for attention to detail, impeccable service, fine quality and value for money and is fast becoming a local favourite.

Our food philosophy is to keep it simple and elegant, fresh and tasty and the menu is disigned accordingly and contains a variety of scrumptious local and seasonal items combined with trendy international flavours. The menu is changed regularly to keep tantalising the taste buds of regular customers and also caters for the little customers.

Crown caters for a wide variety of discerning customers including but not limited to local and international business folk needing a stunning venue to entertain customers or a break-away from corporate life, romantic dinners, fun get-togethers with family and friends and not forgetting families with small children who love to play outside on the vast lawns, jumping castle and jungle gym. A monthly farmers market is held on the lawn of the restaurant where local vendors sell
their unique products whilst live music entertains the guests.

Good quality restaurant

Read more "We went there on the 24th of January 2015 for Lunch to celebrate our Grannies 84th birthday. She is here on a visit from Austria. We were a table for 6. The welcome at arrival was friendly. Some of the white wine Glasses had a bad smell and the waitress changed them immediately. The red wine was by far to warm (not far of from glue wine). I think to enhance the wine sales it should be chilled to the right temperature. When I asked the waitress to chill the wine she was there with an ice bucked in a flash. The food was of a very high quality (the venison starter was out of this world). When I gave my relatives a taste of it they had very positive comments. The service was very efficient and polite. The supervising staff came past regularly to ask if we were fine and enjoyed the lunch. I have just finished a course on tour guiding in Cape Town .Crown restaurant is on my list for the future as I am specializing on Gourmet Guiding."
