With an estimated 15 683 tons of pasta imported by South Africa per annum, it becomes evident that not even we can resist what is arguably the world?s most celebrated comfort food. While quintessentially Italian, the early history of pasta is not believed to have begun in the country of La Dolce Vita. Instead, it dates back to as early as 1700 - 1100 BC in the Shang dynasty of China where some form of noodles are known to have existed. As early as the 4th century BC, however, the legend of pasta shifted to Italy where it has remained ever since.

With a menu initially consisting of 20 dishes, the Pasta Café offers an authentically Italian experience on the go. Only the freshest ingredients go into the making of our handmade pasta and each dish is prepared with that secret ingredient that only a true Nonna can add - love.
