Restaurant description

Our mission is simple; we aim to educate people on the importance of eating local and going back to basics. The way food used to be prepared, no additives and zero artificial flavours. It's time for a different approach to eating and we're joining the revolution.

Barney's best in service delivery and slow-cooked seasonal food results in a 360 in-store experience. Our staff are informed and will guide you through the menu options, ingredients and choices available to you. Not sure of what potatoes you'd like with your lamb shank? You can taste everything on offer so you get exactly what you want to take home. Our passion for food is evident in everything we serve and all produce we stock has been carefully to aligned with the Barney's philosophy.

Cooking good food is alchemy, serving honest food is a virtue; both philosophies are pillars of the Barney's Artisan Deli ethos. Our unique trifecta is local, ethically sourced where possible, and a collaboration with the best of artisan Cape producers.

Barney's was established not only to expand Cape Town's deli offerings, but also to flip the way people look at wholesome eating on its head. Our primary aim is to offer restaurant quality food without compromise on ingredients or method when it comes to our ready-made dishes. Options include, meats, salads, vegetable components, sauces, starches and vegetarian choices. We cook, you choose, we serve.
