This quaint venue in the picturesque village of Kommetjie has a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a shaded outside area with splendid mountain views.

Formerly known as the British Bulldog, Helmsman Pub and Restaurant changed hands in May 2011, and is now captained by new owners. Committed to the people of Kommetjie, their new name, striving for the best quality food, excellent service with a professional, yet relaxed approach.

Helmsman has a lovely outside area which is child and dog friendly. There is live music on a Saturday Evening and Sunday afternoon which creates a splendid atmosphere when frequenting this spot to watch sport, listen to music or enjoy Sunday lunch roast.
