Rock Sushi began in the picturesque fishing village of Hermanus in 2004, when owner of the Harbour Rock Restaurant, Francois Barnard, decided to expand the repertoire of his highly successful seaside restaurant. A Master Sushi chef was headhunted, and alterations on a new kitchen within the building began.

Our Head Sushi Chef, Louis Jiang, has been with us from the beginning, and it is through his dedication and years of training that the Rock Sushi brand has grown from strength to strength. Beautifully fresh fish, perfectly seasoned and steamed rice, piquant ginger and fiery wasabi, are trimmed, rolled and sliced into edible art forms, that are a testament to both the ingredients and skill involved.

Sushi is a delicious, healthy and visually spectacular way to cater for any function.

Thai Cuisine has always been known for its clean, fresh flavours. Beautifully fragrant ingredients like ginger, lemongrass and coriander give Thai cuisine its distinct and unique flavour, loved by people the world over.
Rock Thai is an embodiment of this mantra - where fresh produce is quickly transformed into scrumptious stirfries and decadent curries.
