Tony's Roma is committed to providing you with the best dining experience anywhere - in South Africa. Come and try our succulent ribs, crispy fresh salads, mouth-watering char grilled steaks and flame grilled burgers.

Preparing food on a wood-fired oven allows the very best of grilling while infusing bold or delicate flavours through the use of seasonings. Wood fired cooking is a slower method of cooking, than just plain grilling. While the smoke infiltrates the food with its seasoned flavour, it also enhances the food's own flavour while sealing in moisture through the slow cooking process. Slow cooked foods are rarely dry, and are often far more flavourful than food prepared on a charcoal or gas grill.

So what makes Tony's Roma Ribs, Pizza, Eisbein and Chicken dishes better than other places? We can't really say much without giving away some major trade secrets. It's the result of our special wood fired ovens, slow cooking process that seals in the smoked flavour, and our selection of only premium Rib cuts that are more tender and meatier than the ribs most other places use.

Incorrect food/Bad service

"We hadn't been to Tony's Roma in a long time and decided to go for lunch on New Years eve. We seated ourselves as nobody was around to show us to our seats. We eventually asked ..." Read more "We hadn't been to Tony's Roma in a long time and decided to go for lunch on New Years eve. We seated ourselves as nobody was around to show us to our seats. We eventually asked a lady for a menu(which we never received) and had to find one ourselves. Hubby ordered crumbed mushrooms and I ordered Tagliatelle Alfredo. We waited exceptionally long for the food. On arrival i noticed i did not get Tagliatelle Alfredo but i got penne(which i do not particularly care for) Hubby received about 7 mushrooms in his bowl. I called the barman/waiter and told him he brought me the wrong dish and he took it back to the kitchen and stayed away for ages. He came back and said the chef will make me the one i asked for. After another long wait he came back saying they don't have tagliatelle only the penne. Whats the use of doing all the renovations to the place and giving it such a lovely face lift when you have such bad service. The only thing that kept me from walking out was the friendly guy- Luke Kasakura that helped us. Please Tony's, do something about this clear miscommunication with your wait staff. If u don't have a certain ingredient please tell your staff so they can convey it to the customer which can prevent this experience from happening again."
