Established in 1999, the City Grill is the oldest steakhouse in the V&A Waterfront. We invite you to discover a truly South African experience... so gather family and friends for a feast of flavour at the City Grill!

We are a traditional South African Steakhouse. Our dishes are drenched in African spirit and kept traditional with choices like Bobotie and Ostrich Fillet Steak. We are famous for our traditionalSouth African dishes with venison options and our beautifully matured beef steak. Biltong and droe wors are on display and available to buy and take home. We also have a Sommelier on hand to assist with wine recommendations and food pairing from our fantastic Vintage Wine selection.

"No other nonsense! The Steak they serve is the best steak I have ever tried! especially their cheese based toppings, creamy and tasty!, Been to this restaurant quite a lot... Kudu,..." Kudu, springbok and their Rib eye is a must try!! and warthog... also tasty, but its for biltong lovers as the meat is quite tough! Also for starters, their garlic roll is huge, aromatic and extremely filling! price is in a bit of high range but still acceptable. Service quality varies from waiter to waiter, cant judge much!"
