The new look Kingfisher with its modern clean cut colour scheme of blue, lime green and terracotta, is fast establishing itself as one of the most popular seafood restaurants on the Garden Route. The spacious interior offers a versatile seating arrangement spread over two floors with non smoking downstairs and smoking upstairs.

The main section of the restaurant has a continental feel and is separated from the front deck by large glass windows to enhance the feeling of light and space. Practical roll-up blinds ensure that the deck can be used throughout the year remaining warm and cosy in winter and cool and airy in summer. Long renowned for its seafood, which includes impressive combos and superb prawns, Kingfisher has added another string to its bow with the appointment of a dedicated Sushi chef who will prepare the freshest selection of Nigiri and Sashimi which patrons can enjoy at the brand new Sushi bar.

When it comes to perusing the menu, variety is the keyword which springs to mind, as there is plenty to choose in the way of pasta and pizzas plus a mouth watering ostrich fillet for meat lovers. A separate childrens menu ensures that the Kingfisher is the ideal venue for the whole family.

The upstairs section has been thoughtfully planned with a spacious bar where patrons can enjoy a pre-dinner drink or perhaps a late night Irish coffee. Sliding doors lead out to an open deck for patrons to make the most of al fresco dining in the summer months with glorious views of the majestic Outeniqua Mountains. A selection of fine wines and whiskeys are available to complement your meal, and Kingfisher will be hosting whiskey/wine tasting evenings which are an event not to be missed when combined with great food and stimulating conversation.

The King Fisher Restaurant in George never disappoints. In fact after 17 years it is still a treat. Great food, awesome service and great value.
