Restaurant description

Zachary's is a contemporary classic restaurant that embodies all of chef Geoffrey Murray philosophies on food. "With their own organic gardens and the bounty of products available in this area along the Garden Route, they are busy developing a clean honest approach to food with a unique style of its own."

Named after the Chairman's much-loved and well-travelled Labrador, Zachary's is stylish and contemporary and reflects the five star luxury of the hotel.

It is upmarket without being intimidating, sophisticated without being pretentious.

Colours are sophisticated and beautiful and fabrics are luxurious. Hues of gold and cream are highlighted with rich shades of orange and amber and splashes of bronze and copper.

Zachary's Menu Gourmand is a special chef's tasting menu served with the option of a different, specially selected wine with each course. It is available on Friday evenings, but booking is essential.

Zachary's impressive wine cellar stocks a superb collection of local and international wines, including South African boutique blends.

Zachary's has 4 different options; the Lounge, the Terrace, the Private Dining Room and the Restaurant.

Zachary's Lounge is a double volume space in the heart of the hotel has two fireplaces and looks onto Zachary's Terrace and the hotel swimming pool with distant views of the Knysna Lagoon and Outeniqua Mountains.

With its floor to ceiling windows, glass doors and brightly coloured furnishings, the Lounge is airy, light and spacious. In winter roaring log fires blaze throughout the day making it an ideal venue for informal dining, including breakfast, lunch, dinner and light meals. Children are welcome and are catered for with a special Kiddies Menu.

Zachary's Private Dining Room is a beautifully decorated, intimate space which looks onto the exquisitely designed hotel cellar. It can be booked for special functions and caters for up to 10 diners in a private party.

Zachary's Terrace allows you to dine al fresco next to the pool area, with its breathtaking views of the Pezula Championship Course and the Knysna Lagoon framed by the Outeniqua Mountains.

Breakfast, lunch and informal dinners are served here as well as light meals throughout the day. Children are welcome and are catered for with a special Kiddies Menu.
