Restaurant description

A humble Bistro set between the vines of a working Family farm. Hearty meals with true flavour and ingredients sourced as far as possible directly from the land, this forms part of our "Organic and Sustainable" living belief. Come enjoy some traditional South African favourites such as our popular Cape Malay Bobotie, Waterblommetjie bredie, Ouma?s tripe, and our home made Chicken pie.

Bon Cap Winery is the largest privately owned organic wine cellar in South Africa with ninety percent of our wines exported worldwide - guests are welcome to do a food-wine pairing at the Bistro or to enjoy a tasting at the Cellar prior to their lunch at Bon Rouge. For brides to be, the Guestfarm and Bistro forms the backdrop to any weekend wedding getaway with tailor-made Bridal packages worked out according to each brides needs.

Country hospitality, friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere allow for lingering afternoon?s of good food, great wine and pure bliss.

The wine, the food and the atmosphere was wonderful and relaxing. The assortment of foods to choose from was amazing and scrumptious. Thank you for a little food haven between the mountains. We will definitely bring our Cape Town children to join us next time."
