Restaurant description

Alberto's has been run by owners Albert & Helona Coetzee for 15 years. Normally one or both of them are on duty when one visits, so you can be sure of excellent service. The decor is simple, but comfortable. The restaurant is non-smoking with an adjacent non-smoking bar area and a fairly large outdoor smoking area in the garden. The indoor section is air-conditioned and in winter time the fire in the middle of the restaurant contributes to the enjoyment of one's experience. There is also a children?s play area.

We serve anything from traditional South African meals such as roasted lamb neck and Chicken Pie to really good steaks, seafood, burgers and our popular Eisbein and Chicken Breast with sun dried tomato, feta and olives. Recently pizza?s were added to our menu with great success. Alberto?s offers excellent meals at a reasonable price served by friendly and efficient staff.

The food was really very good - one of the best beef curry's I've had in a long time. The portions were indeed huge - good value for money - and the service was excellent. I was impressed that it was so packed in the middle of the week and middle of the month. Only negative comment I have is that the kids' menu needs a bit more added to it (only pizza at the mo - but very good pizza, mind you), but other than that, all good and we'll definitely be back."
